Since a long time i’d had some spare time. So i decided to go with the Buitenhuis Racing Team for a MX-race. The race was organised by the MON MX federation at the MCC Streekrijders circuit “de Reulsberg” in Horst..
Kevin Buitenhuis, Bastiaan Klee and Max Engelen performed very well. Just like Nick van Rheenen who just bought a 2010 Yamaha YZ250F at Buitenhuis because his KTM was stolen.
I’d never been to a MON race. But i must say that they really have a nice competition and a professional organisation. At the MON they have a real tight race scheme. On saturday (youth-day) there were 50cc, small quad, 65cc little wheels, 65cc big wheels, special quad, 85cc little wheels A and B, 85cc big wheels, MX2 youth, veterans and hobbyriders, and they all ride one training moto and 2 race moto’s!
The track which was made of light sand looked really really nice and was well prepared by the “streekrijders”.
It was difficult for me to take good pictures, i am still not totally in control of my new lense and had some slight problems with focusing and light reception. The greatest part of the circuit was covered by forest where it was dark but the bright sun illuminated some hotspots (which you can see very good in the first picture that i made when i arrived).. I experimented a lot trying to get it right.
